Melanie Folmer
Melanie Kessler Folmer is our lead trainer at West Stables. Melanie has been riding and rodeoing her entire life, specializing in barrel racing. Most recently Melanie has been raising two wonderful daughters, Celee and Bailey, and guiding them to compete at the college level.
Bekah Shepherd is 17 years old. Her love for horses and animals is through the roof, no words can explain it! She has been riding horses since she was 6. Bekah has trained her own horse Hercules that is used to barrel race and teach lessons at West Stables. She has also had experience training other horses. Barrel racing has been her passion for as long as she can remember. Riding horses can be good therapy for the mind and heart! This is why she puts so much love and care into the animals and lessons she teaches!

Kendall Harris
Kendall has loved horses and animals her whole life. Over the past five years, she has advanced from weekly pony club sessions on lesson horses to barrel racing at local and regional events on her own horse Dash. She enjoys sharing her love of horses with kids by creating a safe and engaging environment for young riders. She teaches not only riding skills but also horse care and grooming, with an emphasis on promoting a holistic understanding of horsemanship. She fosters a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where children can build confidence, teamwork, and lifelong friendships. After high school, she plans to study education and agriculture with plans to become an Ag Teacher.
